American style pancakes
- 2 bowls for the eggs and the dry ingredients
- A whisk.
- A non-sticky pan
- A ladle
- A spatula
|150 g. of all-purpose flour|
|25 g. of sugar|
|50 g. of butter|
|200 ml. of whole milk|
|12 g. of baking powder|
|A pinch of salt|
|To serve with: Honey, maple syrup, nutella,…|
First, sieve and mix together in a bowl all the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, salt and baking powder).
Then, melt the butter and mix it with the beaten eggs.
Next, add the dry ingredients while stiring with the whisk. Pour the milk and continue stiring (it is important not to beat the mixture so much or the pancakes will be tough).
Then, heat and butter a non-sticky pan (you can use a fork and half potato to spread the butter). Pour a ladle of the batter in the center of the pan and wait until forms bubbles in the surface, then flip the pancake over and finish cooking another 1 – 2 minutes.
Finally, take the pancake out of the pan with a spatula and serve with something sweet and tasty.
